PET Writing: Sentence transformation
The first part of the Writing paper in the PET exam is called Sentence transformations. In this part you'll find five questions about the same theme. For each question
there is one complete sentence and a second sentence which has a missing
word or words. You have to complete the second sentence so that it
means the same as the first sentence.
This part requires a good knowledge of English grammar. There are lots of books you can use to improve your grammar. A very useful one is English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy (Cambridge University Press).
